Troubleshooting - YL80 Display - Error Code

For YL80 Display

Error 1: This relates to either the controller or the motor cable. Please inspect the motor cable for any damage or twisting, especially under the spring. If no visible damage is found, the controller may need to be replaced.

Error 2: This indicates a communication error. It could be caused by various issues. First, check all cables for visible damage, and ensure the pins of all connectors are intact. Reconnect everything and if the error persists, hold the "-" button (or arrow down) to see if the wheel auto-spins. If it does, the problem is likely related to the PAS or throttle. There is a green LED on the PAS. When you pedal, it should continuously flash. Often, this error stems from motor cable damage, so inspect it carefully. If you still can't find the issue, you can send the motor rim, controller, 1 to 4 cable, and display for inspection.

Error 4: This is usually caused by a problem with the throttle or the 1 to 4 cable. If the throttle has been modified, it's likely the cause. Overstretching of the 1 to 4 cable can also result in damage. Both the throttle and the 1 to 4 cable may need to be returned for inspection.
